The Hot Lunch Lady prepares fresh home-style meals packed with nutritious ingredients for private schools in Orange County. Our kitchen is located in San Juan Capistrano and we welcome you to take a tour of our facility, enjoy a healthy lunch in our restaurant, or celebrate your child's next private birthday party.
Nutritional Services:
- We provide fresh and tasty home-style school lunches at affordable prices. Our service provides a convenient alternative to making lunch at home, relieving some of the strain of getting everyone off to school and work on time and the cost is almost the same as if you made it yourself.
- We hide organic pureed vegetables and fruits in our recipes to ensure every child gets as much nutrition as possible. We use local and organic ingredients with no MSG, preservative, hydrogenated oils and high fructose corn syrup. We also offer low sodium turkey, hormone/antibiotic free chicken and 100% Angus beef.
- School lunches are prepared fresh and served at the right portions recommended by pediatricians and nutritionists for each age group.
- We offer 5-7 different entree options and 7-10 side choices each day. Parents have the ability to order healthy entrees and pack their own side dishes or select from our side variety of side choices and drinks for a complete meal.
- Best of all our menu items are 100% kid approved! What's the point of all the healthy stuff if children refuse to eat them?

- Full Service: We develop the menu, manage orders, payments, customer service, delivery and distribution.
- Family Style: We prepare family style or individually packed meals for your school kitchen staff to distribute at lunch time.
- Your Way: We can design your school lunch program based on your needs and distribution style.
The Local Lunch Lady
In 2008, I was working as a preschool teacher where my two children were attending. I often worked during lunch hour and noticed the lack of nutritional meals available to the students. I spoke to frustrated parents who were tired of making lunches and children who were tired of eating the same cold sandwiches or fast food meals every day. I decided to put together a healthy lunch program that kids would enjoy eating in our school and within two months, I was making 30 lunches each day before work and that was the beginning of my journey as The Hot Lunch Lady. I now own and operate my first catering kitchen/restaurant in San Juan Capistrano, serving lunch everyday to the public and over a dozen schools. I am proud to announce more Orange County schools are joining our program each year. I take pride in being a local lunch provider to local schools and using locally grown ingredients because I truly believe that our children (our future) are worth the effort.

Allergy Alert! Although we do not use any peanut products (peanut oil, peanuts or peanut butter) in our kitchen or any of our meals, we cannot guarantee a nut-free environment due to an enormous amount of liability issues. If your child has severe allergies to nuts and soy, it is best that you pack your child's lunch to ensure their safety. Please feel free to contact us and ask about the ingredients used in our meals.
